Tutorial on Methods in Visualization for Applications in Medicine and Systems Biology
"Browsing metabolic pathways andsignaling pathways is part of every day work of biologists. We developed new approaches to navigate inside these complex graphs. In this talk techniques from information visualization will be introduced. Visualization of micro-array data and medical data such as diagnostic findings will be discussed. Basic data mining approaches will be introduced also. This should help domain experts revealing hidden details in their data. Finally challenges encountered in the simulation of metabolic and signaling pathways are presented."
