Patterns for eLearning Systems
In: Proc. of the eLBa 2009 e-Learning Baltics International Scientific Conference, ed. by Hambach, S., Martens, A., Urban, B., pp. 115-124, Fraunhofer Rostock, University of Rostock, Rostock, Stuttgart, Germany, Fraunhofer IRB Verlag.
Two approaches for patterns in eLearning system development are described. The work is based on prior research on generic pattern catalogues and on academic and learning behavior patterns, especially in a Web 2.0 influenced media context. The paper describes how the general architecture pattern must be adapted for eLearning systems and how a set of behavioral pattern can be integrated in the pattern catalogue. The new behavior-driven approach utilizes the collaborative advantages of “2.0-learning” and avoids the problems of disintegrated, fragmented and uncoordinated content reception.
